Barbara Kauffman’s journey of self-discovery through photography has, over the years, taken her coast to coast and around the world. Recently settling near the artist’s enclave of Pittsboro, North Carolina, she now calls Fearrington Village home.

 

Originally focused on in-situ portraiture, she is now exploring mixed media still life creations, “flower-art”, incorporating fabrics, flowers, and found-objects to capture truly unique moments of surprise and delight.

 

The happenstance quality of her images belies a meticulous attention to detail and her keen eye for color and composition. She is thrilled to share her mind’s images in the form of a series of note and greeting cards, framed prints and home decor.  Commissions and custom designs upon request.
